Chicago Roundtable

Sep 17, 2013 / 1:30 PM - 7 PM / W Chicago - Lakeshore

Thanks for your interest! We respond to all requests within two days.

How can TV and Digital come together to improve video marketing?

Between conversations with senior marketing executives, an in-depth look at how marketers are finding success with mobile video, and case studies on integrated marketing followed by a lively discussion on how to make integrated work better for marketers and media companies, the Roundtable will make for a powerful afternoon.

Video marketing is fractured with clear lines of separation in most marketing organizations between TV and Digital. We have created the only industry forum that brings together leaders from both sides of the spectrum. The Videonomics Roundtable is a half-day event designed to engage marketers with in-depth discussions on the dynamics of video, media and marketing. Senior brand and agency executives will gather in one of the top media markets for an afternoon of keynotes, case studies, research, integration techniques, peer-to-peer discussions, and networking sessions.

Compelling Brand Stories in the New Economy

We know people buy brand experiences, not just brands. Make no mistake, every brand has a story to be told. But the new reality of budgets and timelines can put a crimp in the creative process, to leave every brand challenged in this new marketplace.

Sometimes brands really get it right. Brett McCall will discuss and share examples of great work where brands create and partner with content to develop a true marketing asset, which consumers engage across all platforms and technologies. When done correctly, consumers actively participate in the story, brands become the hero, and the cost of entry won’t break the bank.

2:35 pm - 3:05 pm

Stop Repurposing Content: The Web (and Your Consumer) Deserves More

Even when brands grasp the full potential of digital video, marketers tend to steer away from working with original online video content. After all, that TV spot was already shot and the costs have been sunk. We’ll share two examples (one is about serving moms the content they crave, the other how search usage can inform content development) that both of which are true testaments to how digital video creation can be a very nimble effort. We’ll show brands how they can get the content they need, without breaking the bank.

Group Wide Discussion: What’s Stopping You From Being Effective – Pt 1

Videonomics gets candid. Very candid. We’re bringing together representatives from different facets of the video universe to share their pain points around the video marketplace. Amongst the issues to be discussed: Agencies are frustrated with the frequent lack of unified measurement, unified points of contact, and poor research oversight; media execs need a greater lead time in content integrations and often to have direct contact with brands to be better partners; brands want more accountability across their partners, and in some cases want their content treated as media itself.

This is not a gripe session, nor is it a panel. We’ve lined up a terrific group of marketer, media and technology execs to get the conversation started but it is the room as a whole to discuss how to build a better marketplace.

Getting Sophisticated with Online Video

Brands are becoming more savvy at using online video to create direct connections with consumers. They are leveraging paid media to bolster owned and earned channels and using video in real-time conversations to create relevance with current and prospective customers. This session will share how major brands are finding success using sophisticated but not overly complicated tactics to engage in direct dialog with their target audiences.
