June’s Roundtable is all about working sessions; there will be no presentations. It is an organized roomful of executives working on creating a stronger marketplace.
Videonomics is a series of marketing summits, of which David Cohen, UM; Maureen Bosetti, ZenithOptimedia; and a number of other media leaders serve on the board. The NYC Roundtable will bring together 40+ top brand marketers and agency execs in a meaningful way with 20 media executives, to try and break down some of the institutional barriers that exist in video advertising today.

At the last New York Roundtable the room made significant progress towards bringing automation to TV. In this session we’ll receive an update on the progress made by the follow up task force, as well as take questions, and work on next step planning.

With the announced Video Viewability standard gating period ending June 30th advertisers have plenty of questions. In this session we will answer questions about the new guidelines, tackle what these guarantees mean for marketers, and aggregate perspective from the room.

Group Wide Discussion: Ending Online Fraud
The IAB estimates of 1/3 of all web traffic is considered fake; this includes online video ads. As a result, media deals are increasingly coming under scrutiny with marketers often stipulating they pay only on concrete evidence that consumers signed up for their products or services. But this is not stemming the bot tide. In this discussion we’ll leverage the experience in the room to create an industry wide recommendation to tackle this issue for good.

As more 1st party matching products and opportunities come into play, there seems to be an increase in brands considering owning the contracts for ad tech platforms as opposed to their agency’s owning them…therefore owning all the terms and most importantly the data. In some cases this is having a dramatic effect on where clients / agencies / media vendors / platforms find their respective rolls in media planning and buying. In this session we’ll discuss the impact this is having on industry relationships, how this will effect, the value propositions of all parties, and how to work together to create more value across TV and digital.
